Yes, the USA has weapons and communications systems that give it unique advantages. Those capabilities don't just exist in a vacuum, though - they're closely tied to a specific culture that makes them possible.
As Glenn points out, even if you gave many of the USA's opponents the same capabilities, they wouldn't be able to use them the way the USA does. (Cross-posted to Blogcritics.org)








I think the most interesting development of the next 50 years will be the generals of the 2nd and 3rd world's armies pumping for the adoption of "American" sociopolitical economic culture.
