Broncos QB Jake Plummer insisted on honouring his friend Pat Tillman, the football star who joined the Army Rangers and was killed in Afghanistan. The NFL insisted on adherence to its regulations. Fortunately, all parties approached this thing in the right spirit and I'm pleased to report that it has ended well. The NFL rules are intact, everyone's position was respected, and everybody gets something - esp. the Tillman Foundation. Good for them.
