Winds of War: Jan 20/05

by Colt at January 20, 2005 10:17 PM

Welcome! Our goal at Winds of Change.NET is to give you one power-packed briefing of insights, news and trends from the global War on Terror that leaves you stimulated, informed, and occasionally amused every Monday & Thursday. Thursday's Winds of War briefings are given by me, Colt, of Eurabian Times.

TOP TOPICS

  • Iranian president Mohammed Khatami has said that the chances of a U.S. attack on Iran is “very low”.

Other Topics Today Include: Hezbollah to bomb London; Iranian rapid reaction force; 20km rockets in Gaza; Martyrs ceasefire; Dane detained in Israel; Jordan boosts security; Jersey Jihad; FBI watches Islamic missionaries; Basayev not in Chechnia; Omar Bakri Mohammed joins al-Qaeda; Spain holds 9/11 man; Germany tackles immigration; France helps peace; US/UK special forces in Karachi; Omar statement; and much more.

IRAN

  • Hezbollah have threatened to kill an Iranian exile, currently residing in London, with a suicide bomber.

THE MIDDLE EAST

  • The range of the terrorist rockets in Gaza may be as much as 20 kilometres.
  • The P.A. will deploy some 8,000 ‘police officers’ to prevent other terrorists from firing rockets at Israel. There is a slight hitch, in that they won’t be firing on or even arresting terrorists. But hey! As the head of the Gaza ‘police’ said: “at least we are out there”.
  • A Dane and two Israeli-Arabs were arrested in Israel last week for security offences.

THE AMERICAS

  • Jersey Jihad? A Coptic Christian family has been brutally murdered, after the father of the family criticised Islam on internet forums. Police are investigating a jihadist angle to the killings.
  • Vice President Dick Cheney has voiced concerns that Israel might bomb Iran.

EUROPE

  • The FSB says Shamil Basayev is hiding abroad, but makes occasional visits to Chechnia.
  • The Russian military in Chechnia is now entirely composed of professional soldiers rather than conscripts.
  • Facing problems of new migrants failing to assimilate, a German parliamentary committee is calling for limits to immigration… of Russian Jews.

ASIA & AUSTRALASIA

  • Asia Times reports that U.S. and U.K. special forces are preparing for commando operations inside Tehran – and that they’re training for it in Karachi.
  • The Taliban has released a message from Mullah Omar, in which he says that reports that his collection of murderers and thieves is considering laying down their arms are wrong.

AFRICA

And finally: one of Michael Moore's bodyguards has been arrested - for carrying an unlicensced firearm.

UPDATE: The Fox story about Moore's bodyguard is very, very inaccurate. Full retraction, and apologies.

Thanks for reading! If you found something here you want to blog about yourself (and we hope you do), all we ask is that you do as we do and offer a Hat Tip hyperlink to today's "Winds of War". If you think we missed something important, use the Comments section to let us know.

USA uses policies like sanctions and political isolation to cripple poor countries like Iran and Syria. Even then they do not attack alone but with several allied nations (Countries as America's Political Dog). The only war they fought alone with country like this type was with Vatnaime and they lost. So, they now they cant bear the burnden of 100,000 dead soldiers (like in Vatnaim) because American people will go wild against their Government. Keep in mind dont ever take Iranians especially lightly because they are the nation of worriors and they have the military might to counter-strike.
I am not Iranian but this is the fact.

America did not lose Vietnam in the battle field

We had a Communist movment in the USA that wanted the communists to win, and they succeeded

The last battle, the Tet offensive, almost totaly destroyed the Norths ability to fight the war.

John Kerry, and others, in co-ordination with the Vietcong, bought them time at the bargan table for an extra two years, while our POWs died slowly under torture.

The final victory was when the Communist Democrat congress cut off support for the south, so that the communists, who mass murdered their own people by 5% death quota, could win.

It was the USA Communists that won the Veitnam war, the battlefield was USA politics, the weapons was Lies and propaganda from the USA leftist media. (and the feckless idiotarian way the war was fought)

Americans by and large understand that now, and while possible, I dont think the USA Commiecrats can win again.

The leftist media no longer control information and the American communist Marxocrat party is seen more widly for what they are.

The swift boat Veterans testamony and the defacto truth of it is almost universally understood by the Right, and the facts behind them are fully able to withstand scrutiny.

The leftist antics dont work any more, not in America.

The times, they are a changing !

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.

Finally, note that a constant onslaught of Trackback spams from auto-generated blogspot blogs has forced Winds to ban the blogspot.com domain from use in comments or trackbacks. If you host on blogspot, consider moving; otherwise, the complaints need to be directed at Google not us.
