Blogger Michael Totten is in Lebanon

| 2 Comments | 1 TrackBack

Braveheart Lebanon BabeAs I write this, Michael Totten is on the ground in Beirut, Lebanon and posting to the new LebanonBlog. His activities cover things like meetings with the opposition, noting Syrian destabilization the country via a sort of siege, et. al.

There's little question that after the initial burst of euphoria, Lebanon has become a struggle of patience and pressure. There will still be a role for "people power" (and long live the "babe theory" of political movements), but there will be much sharper undercurrents as well. I look forward to Michael's reports covering the Lebanese as they struggle for independence from Syria and its allies like Hezbollah. Liban Libre!

THE TRUTH - The Greatest Weapon in Our Arsenal in the GWOT

Joe,

We are at a tipping point in the GWOT. We have a short window of opportunity to deal a crushing and fatal blow to the enemy.

We all need to come together on this and support these efforts to facilitate the free flow of news and info - The Truth.

The Internet and the Blogos have the power to achieve this mission.

See my comment on a similar thread at Roger L. Simon's:

Very much looking forward to reading more of their work over there, and reporting it back at my blog. With elections in May, now is the time to lay the groundwork for a successful political movement.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
