I consider it Good News that blogging has opened new ways for us to share information and create a dialogue and debate over important issues. So I encourage you ALL to participate in BlogNashville next weekend. This get together will be run on the un-conference model pioneered by Dave Winer. Sessions will be dialogues - not "presentations" - and there will be roundtable dinner discussions hosted by the session leaders Saturday evening to continue the dialogue.

I especially welcome your thoughts about milblogging. Come by the ongoing discussion about military blogging and tell us what you think about milblogging - its impact, value and how it has (or could) change the way the mainstream media report on current events

Can't come to Nashville? You can join the session dialogues online - now, during the conference, and afterwards - at these sites:

Military Blogging -- facilitated by yours truly
Building Blogospheres -- Hossein Derakhshan
Citizen's Media -- Dan Gillmor
Faith-Based Blogging -- LaShawn Barber
Local Politics -- Ed Cone
Making Money -- Henry Copeland
Video Blogging -- Jay Dedman
Protecting Bloggers -- Mark Glaser
Podcasting & Audioblogging -- Brendan Greeley
Committing Journalism -- Staci Kramer
Global Voices -- Rebecca MacKinnon
A Respectful Disagreement -- Dave Winer

Way cool - great Saturday post. Enjoy youtrself in Nashville, and say hi to Bill R.

Thanks, Joe. I wish all our Winds of Change readers could join us in person in Nashville. But you ALL can join us via the Net -- and I hope you do!!

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display": (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
