For you folks who couldn't get a ticket or who aren't in commuting distance of NYC: the Hitchens-Galloway debate on Wednesday night will be podcast.
The hawkish democratic leftist Brits from Harry's Place have done great work in spreading the word about the unsavouriness of George Galloway. One got an anti-Galloway editorial into a Madison newspaper. Another made up leaflets which some of us NYers are going to hand out before the debate here.
But you don't need a ticket to rally against Iran's new President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, when he comes to NYC the same day (this Wednesday) to address the UN. Dag Hammarskjold Plaza, 1st Ave and E. 47th, NY NY, at 11 AM.
And Cindy Sheehan is coming to Brooklyn in October! That's the charm and excitement of living in New York - celebrities everywhere you look.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
