Operation Give's Chief Wiggles to Be Promoted

| No Comments | 1 TrackBack
Master Chief Warrant Officer 5 insignia

Paul Holton, known to many as "Chief Wiggles" for his work with Operation Give, will be promoted to US Army Master Chief Warrant Officer 5 this weekend. Warrant officers hold warrants from their service secretary and are specialists and experts in certain military technologies or capabilities, and the rank of CW5 is as high as they can go.

This has been a long time in the making, and you can go to his blog this coming week to find out more about his promotion. For those few readers who don't know him, Holton is the founder of Operation Give, and the award winning author of Saving Babylon - a book we also included in our Remembrance Day/ Veterans Day 2005 Stories from the Front. We're glad that he has appeared as a guest on a wide range of radio, television, and news features, because he represents all that is best about the modern American soldier. Operation Give provides toys, educational and medical supplies and other relief to war-torn nations around the world.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
