When you have a diverse blog team, one of the things it does is make endorsements almost impossible because the blog represents everybody. That's why Winds stayed out of both party Presidential primaries, and offered no endorsement in 2004. Individual members talked about whom they would support, and why, but that was it. I'll note that it really hurt us re: traffic and growth potential, but "no endorsements" was what we had to do to be true to ourselves.
That is about to change.
In a few hours, Winds of Change.NET is going to openly support and assist a candidate for office, as one of their key backers in the blogosphere. It's something I didn't want to talk about until it was firm, but now I can. We believe this is a fight that matters to our blog, ties into the things we talk about here, and is something that all members, left-leaning and right-leaning, can agree on. Heck, even non-American foreigners like me can get behind this one.
Team members deserve a fuller explanation, and if you want one then drop me an email - joe here @windsofchange.net. If you're in North America and want a phone response, include a phone number in the email.

Uh, Joe,
How do you know you didn't endorse any one in 2008?
Do you have technology that we haven't heard of yet?
Or is this a Louis Lapham moment? LOL
Oops, damn, wasn't supposed to talk about that. For the record, I officially have no advance knowledge of Superbowl winners... and I should add that since I'm back now, history can be changed.
If you limit your endorsement to McKinney, no problem as she is a joke who should not be a repr. in D.C.
But, try to stay neutral on the election and most public issues as W O C is a great blog now and all who come here learn and start to think... If you go way one side, you will lose readers such as me. I am a very conservative Repub. who comes here daily to read as I find truth and challenge, not press releases from the DNC or RNC.
There are times when it is appropriate for all thinking men to take a stand in favor of civility, honor, and good government. I think this is an unusually clear-cut example of such a time. Good call, WoC team.
Good call.
