... went into a bar together. No, wait, that's not it, They knocked on the farmer's door when their car broke down and asked to spend the night. No, that's not it either.
I know: they wound up writing for the same blog.
This is a brief announcement that at my own site on www.donaldsensing.com, Rabbi Daniel Jackson has joined the team as a columnist, blogging from Israel. His first post is, "Hamastan - a view from Israel." Daniel is a former sociology professor who left the academy to study for rabbinic ordination at Yeshiva University. Rabbi Jackson lives in the Galilee region of Israel and teaches several classes in Jerusalem at Touro College in Israel.
Daniel joins ordained Permanent Deacon, the Rev. John Krenson of the Roman Catholic Church and me (elder of the UMC) at One Hand Clapping, where I've been blogging since 2002.
With three writers, though, the blog's name is no longer apt. About two years ago I reserved the domain name senseofevents.net for just this eventuality. I think that later this year I'll try to stand it up and abandon solo blogging. One of the things I enjoy about posting here at WOC is the lack of pressure to provide all the content; there are many authors contributing here.
Be all that as it may, tomorrow I begin pastoring at a new church in Clarksville, Tenn. For the rest of this month I'll be commuting an hour each way from Franklin, Tenn., then we'll move our household the first week of July. So activating senseofevents.net won't be at the top of list things to do for the rest of the summer.

Congratulations on the new calling.
Best wishes for success in Clarksville and the expansion of the staff at One Hand Clapping.
I know this is all serious and profound and everything ... but did anybody else's mind just go straight to Stargate?
Might I suggest you retain the old title, if only for the irony?
Consider what happened to Datsun America when they became Nissan.
