Couldn't resist this one when my wife called my attention to it:
"The T-shirt has motion sensors built into its elbows that pick up the wearer's arm motions and relay them wirelessly to a computer which interprets them as guitar riffs, said Richard Helmer, an engineer who leads the research team from the government's Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization.
One arm is interpreted as picking chords while the other strums. The "wearable instrument shirt" is adaptable to both right and left-handed would-be rock stars."
The floor is open to readers: if you could pick 3 air guitar songs for these T-shirts to have pre-programmed, what would they be? Uncle Jimbo has a strong set in the comments, but here's my votes - the rest you'd have to learn yourself. Let the debates begin!
- Johnny B Goode, Chuck Berry (not an option)
- Joe's Garage Act I-III, Frank Zappa (say no more)
- Spaceship Superstar, Prism (the shirt ought to be solar powered, and the artifact demands camp)

Not even tough Joe.
Smoke on the Water
Freebird
Stairway to Heaven
next slide.
Cordially,
Uncle J
Just put the whole darn Adrian "Big Electric Cat" Belew catalog on it, including his work with Talking Heads and King Crimson.
The best ones are getting taken. Stairway to Heaven seems more instrumental -- I'm not sure instrumentals would be as much fun to show off on a T-Shirt.
These aren't the greatest, but they come to mind as being fun to show off as power electric guitar.
The Star Spangled Banner, by Jimi Hendrix
Iron Man, by Black Sabbath
Baracuda (who did that?)
Ina Godda da Vida, baby!
Barracuda was by Heart,(band) i.e. the Wilson Sisters. I should note that Nancy Wilson is married to Cameron Crowe, and scored the movies Jerry Maguire and Almost Famous. The latter was an especially fine job, I thought.
And Rev. Sensing, don't you mean that famous church hymnal, "In the Garden of Eden"...
Last Train to Clarkesville
Pleasant Valley Sunday
Papa Gene's Blues
How about that?
Donald, that's depressing. I actually saw Iron Butterfly at the Hollywood Bowl...
