Over the next 7 weeks, as many as 1/4 of all major league players could be on the market. No wonder many fans just throw up their hands. "Just tell me who shows up for Spring Training," they say.
For serious baseball fans already dreaming of next year, however, MLB.com offers the Free Agent Tracker. Who's available? What's their status? Where do they go? All that, plus one click to player stats or simple sorts by position and more.

I have to say: anyone he would pay $10 million for Javy Lopez is foolish. Yes, he had a career year. And yes, he plays an important position. But if we know anything about him, it's that he's inconsistent. One year, he puts up a +.850 OPS, the next a .675. Plus, he's turning 33 in a few days. Bottom line: this guy's not gonna live up to that kind of money.
