I don't know why, but I find this BBC video clip prophetic for the future of media, somehow.
The 'Music Industry Expert' being interviewed was the cab driver of the actual interviewee. When the interviewee's name was called out, the cabbie spoke up and found himself on the BBC News talking about the future of downloading.
If you watch it several times, the hilarity of the moment will grow on you.








There's now some question as to his actual status. Rumor has it he was actually there to interview for a high-level IT position, and just got caught up in the rush. Not a 'lowly cab-driver'!
Actually, it turns out that he was not a cab driver.
"In fact, the man was Guy Goma, a Congolese man applying for a technology-related job with the British Broadcasting Corp. Goma followed an employee to the studio after a mistake at a reception desk, the BBC said late yesterday. The BBC apologized to viewers for any confusion."
He must have been wondering if this was one of those "stress interview" techniques...
