This is something we've been writing and presenting about since November of 2002. In a May 20, 2004 article, Reuters' Reed Stevenson writes:
"Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates often takes the stage to talk about the future of software technology, but on Thursday he also told top corporate executives that Weblogs and the way they are distributed can be used as business communication tools."
Welcome to the club, Bill. Tracy Weslosky has more on Gates' speech over at The Pro's Edge...

He's a little anectdote.
I know a product evangalist for Microsoft. He started a work
related blog in September, 2003. http://blogs.gotdotnet.com/jmazner/
By January, he had switched to a Microsoft powered blog. http://blogs.msdn.com/jmazner/
It only took Uncle Billie two-three years to co-opt the idea? Imagine that. His brain is nimbler than I thought.
The new media. The new middle ground debators. The new advertisers. Now the new buisness distribution.
Screw it. Lets elect a blogger for President.
Now ain't that gonna be enough to start a ruckus. Wonder which one will get the majority vote.
That would give a totally different meaning to "Instalanche".
