Wow. Roger Simon (who's been carrying the U.N. Oil-for-Palaces scandal) goes to New York and all of a sudden the New York Times gets bold about it.
Coincidence? I think not...

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
Wow is right. The NYT obviously has been shamed into finally going after this story. As an aside, it shows how increasingly, and inexorably, the old media is becoming irrelevant. They may not go easy, but they will go...
right, Terry ... cuz Roger Simon's been interviewing people and tracking down primary documents ... rather than linking to and synthesizing various stories reported by the "old media."
Hey, are we talking about the same article? I'll admit, I only got halfway thru it when I got so angry I had to stop reading. The point was, the Oil-for-Food scam was NO ONES FAULT. That's right, it was just arranged a bit haphazardly, different countries had conficting conerns, these things happen, some things fell thru the cracks, etc. etc. etc. WHITEWASH!! SPIN!!! LIES!!!!
When I get calm again, I'll read the rest of the article.
