Chocolate Dreams

Timothy Childs is used to working at companies that make virtual reality software and workflow products for NASA. He's a little out of his element these days, since he just co-founded a company to produce high-end chocolates.
Rafe Needleman says "this startup looks like a lot of cub technology companies," and so it does. Their work automating a difficult process / algorithm helps them use very expensive ingredients while keeping prices within reason, and some of Timothy Childs' ideas on growing his business are intriguing.
Which is nice, but I'm thinking in more practical terms here. Since the first thing they did is build a web site that takes on line orders for their super-premium chocolate and offers emailable gift certificates, and since Valentine's Day is approaching quickly...

I tried to use the website to place an order. Bounced twice. Pretty poor for ex-software jocks.
Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
Finally, note that a constant onslaught of Trackback spams from auto-generated blogspot blogs has forced Winds to ban the blogspot.com domain from use in comments or trackbacks. If you host on blogspot, consider moving; otherwise, the complaints need to be directed at Google not us.
