Un-be-lievable. 4-2 Bosox... and now it all comes down to ONE seventh game.
3 of the best games you could ever hope to see, is about to give us a one game showdown as dramatic as any you could hope to see. Welcome to Red Sox vs. Yankees, 2004.
- 6-4 on Ortiz' electrifying walk-off homer in 12th
- That Ortiz guy again, bloop single in the 14th - after a homer in the 8th that jump-started Boston's comeback.
- 4-2 in 9 innings, as an injured Curt Schilling turns in one of the gutsiest baseball performances of all-time... and the umpires get 2 incredibly difficult calls right without the instant replay the rest of us saw.
Wow. Wow! Wow!!!
I notice that AllahPundit has not been posting lately. Big Guy, whatever you're doing instead, keep doing it.

Yeah, definitely the series with the Red Sox is amazing, and history making.
But, HOUSTON IS ONE WIN AWAY FROM BEING IN THE WORLD SERIES!!!
Do you realize how many YEARS I've waited for this? Ever since I was a kid. I forget exactly what age I first saw the Astro (back in the rainbow uniform days).
Everyone in Houston can't believe it. We had the Rockets actually win a couple of titles back in the early 90's - and I remember back when the Houston Oilers went to the AFC Championship game a couple of times, and lost to the cursed Steelers.
But the Astros? Man, been waiting forever.
Just a quibble, but Ortiz's walk-off hit in the 14th was not a homer. It was a single. He homered earlier in the game (I believe the 8th?) to bring the Red Sox a run closer.
I was really looking forward to Allah's blow-by-blow. Oh, well. Hope he is well.
Texas v. Massachussets for all the marbles? Sound familiar?
Greg, you're right. Typo written in tiredness. Fixed now to say what I wanted to say.
