From an email I received at work today:
The United States Postal Service (USPS) is offering free packing materials to spouses, families and friends of military members deployed overseas. To take advantage of this service call 800-610-8734 (press 1 for English or 2 for Spanish and then 3 to speak to an operator). The USPS will send you free boxes, packing materials, tape and mailing labels.
These products are to be used to mail care packages to deployed service members. For additional information on mailing packages overseas, visit the USPS "Supporting our Troops Frequently Asked Questions" webpage
The site has lots of other info on sending letters and packages to troops overseas.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
