Amidst the other good news this Saturday, we have some that's closer to home. On Friday, a post that had been gathering in my head for a couple of weeks now went down onto the page, then out into the blogosphere: Zimbabwe Changed My Mind: Guns Are A Human Right.
As long-time Winds reader Rob Lyman observed in comment #15: "...keep your metaphorical Marshal's .44 handy, as gun-control posts tend to spin out of control."
Except it didn't. We had spirited debate, discussion, additional perspectives, and more... and not one of our Winds Deadwood Marshals had to draw. Or even intervene. I think some of the comments re: Liberalhawk were uncalled for and untrue - but Bill and I noted our disagreement, liberalhawk is more than able to defend himself, and everyone got to make their case. Winds readers are fair-minded people who can and will draw their own conclusions.
All y'all did Winds - and yourselves - proud. Thank you.

>Thank you.
Yep. And a pleasure to read liberalhawk's remarks.
thank you, and Amac, for your kind words.
