I'm getting mighty tired of the selective filtering done by the media when it comes to quotations from public figures, and the constant wrapping of the snippets that do survive with some punk reporter's commentary. In this post, we're going to stand aside and just let you listen to a couple of important figures this week.
Some readers wondered where that Pim Fortuyn quote Andrew Sullivan linked to the other day came from. Well, we did a bit of digging and found the answer... it's taken directly from a statement by his party, "List Pim Fortuyn." We believe in the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but here at Winds of Change. In that spirit, we invite you read an English translation of the full statement and decide for yourself.
Also worthy of note: Pim Fortuyn not only anticipated his own death, he laid the blame directly on the Dutch Prime Minister.
Our second feature in this blog post is Ariel Sharon, and the speech he made following the massacre-bombing at Rishon Le'tzion.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
