As many of you know, Saturday is the Jewish Sabbath. On this blog it will always be "good news" day. We will share Sufi wisdom, highlight the acts of good and decent people, laugh at humourous events, and point to amazing discoveries that could benefit humanity. Other blogging days include these things as well, but today we seek to fill our entire day with that.
The first bit of good news being that my friend MuslimPundit is back! The second is that there is just one week left until Stephen "Vodkapundit" Green's wedding. Celebration is in order on both counts.
Since this is also Captive Nations Week, we also point to the Winds of Change Open Letter to the Iranian People. Glenn Frazier, meanwhile, acts as a clearing house with the "Iranian Liberty Index" page. His work this week has been deeply worthy... please check it out.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
