July 3: Down N' Dirty
by Joe Katzman at July 3, 2002 10:37 AM
My article is up on Tech Central Station. Plans are currently being made for further articles, and topics under consideration include:
- What replaces the Crusader?
- Colombia/Venezuela/Narcoland: what's going on there, its strategic implications, and how it highlights key aspects of 4th Generation Warfare (4GW)
- Terrorism, Social Networks, and Netwar: How terror networks "work", and some potential attack strategies.
I'm always happy to hear from my readers. Is there a topic that especially fascinates you? An angle on any of the above topics that I should consider? Other thoughts? Let me know via kat -at- pathcom -dot- com.
My Tech Central Station article highlighted some broad trends, but emphasized the importance of the "on the ground, get your hands dirty" stuff. For the next few days, I'm going to dedicate my whole blog to the "down n' dirty" dimensions of change on the various fronts I cover.
Today's Blogs:
* 4GW: Infiltrating Al-Qaeda
* War on Drugs Interview
* Palestine: Maps to War
* Palestine: Push for Reform
* Time for ICANN to Go

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:
*This* puts text in bold.
_This_ puts text in italics.
bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.
To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
Finally, note that a constant onslaught of Trackback spams from auto-generated blogspot blogs has forced Winds to ban the blogspot.com domain from use in comments or trackbacks. If you host on blogspot, consider moving; otherwise, the complaints need to be directed at Google not us.
