Not a Good News Saturday

Normally, we have a tradition on this blog that all our Saturday posts are "good news". We share wisdom from groups like the Sufis, Hasidim and Zen Masters, highlight the acts of good and decent people, laugh at humourous events, and point to amazing discoveries that could benefit humanity.

Not this Saturday. Our world has changed, and the old patterns no longer apply. On this day, the anniversary of that seismic shift, the old patterns no longer apply here, either.

We will return to our old and valued patterns here at Winds of Change.NET next Saturday. Our world will not.

Hope lives. Keep your Good News Saturdays.

Good idea, at least for today, there is too much to miss. I need your site to keep up with events out here, and I know I will appreciate it when we return to the din of noise that is news in the U.S.
I heard more thunder in Tall Afar last night, but dont see any clouds...

Here's some http://www.freemuslims.org/; it's running heavy traffic right now, so you might have to use this instead

Enjoy.

Hi.

I completely respect and approve of what you do with Good News Saturday in general and with this day in particular. Keep it up. And thank you.

Well, if you want some bad news, how about this

It sure is pretty, but that doesn't mean it's not a Vortex of Doom

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
