PETA Funding Terrorists?

Yesterday's Winds of War noted that Earth Liberation Front (ELF) terrorists recently struck at an office complex in San Diego. Celeste has also covered the ELF and ALF before on Winds of Change.NET. Ironically, the title of her post was "France is to Iraq as PETA is to the ELF." Well, looks like PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) and the ELF are even closer than we thought. Robert Prather notes a court case which seems to show that PETA has funded ELF. I'm sorry, but that's simply beyond the pale. ELF's goals and activities are very well known. Looks like it's time for a review of PETA's tax-exempt status, at the very least. If the charges are true, prosecute aggressively. Governance and serious corporate accountability need to apply to the non-profit Red Crosses and PETAs of the world, just as much as they need to apply to the Enrons and Arthur Andersens.

Nice thought, but it will never happen. PETA has too many willing idiots ready to support it.

Investigate PETA? I wish. This sort of thing has come up before, although the usual phrasing is "PETA is to ELF as Sinn Fein is to the PIRA." PETA has violated its nonprofit status more ways than I can recall, but nothing ever comes of it.

I remember when the internet was just beginning to enter pop consciousness. Some guy registered peta.org and set up a Web site called "People Eating Tasty Animals". It was hilarious. Of course, once the animal rights group heard about the Internet, and found his Web site, they were pissed! They sued him, of course, and won the rights to the domain name. Bummer.

I just did a Google and here is what looks like an archive that someone is keeping:
http://mtd.com/tasty/

Those wackos are going to carry on until they kill somebody… so much for that whole homeland security thing.

If memory serves, that petition for examination of tax status was filed over a year ago; what the status of the petition is hasn't been published.

The more things change...

Classic marxist underground tactics include an above ground front group (like, say PETA) and an underground action arm (say, like ELF).

Our legal system insists on pretending the two groups are not related until they see the front group guys raping a nun in the town square at high noon.

I remember there was a Group calling itself CISPES (Commitee in Solidarity with People of El Salvador) during the 80's, had a lot of high profile media members and even some Congress critters (like a chap named Dellums if memory serves). You were not allowed to even admit you knew they existed (if you were in the business) but their role was to prevent US assistance to the Government of El Sal and to the freedom fighters in Nicaragua. The real agenda was to get the heat off the Sandinistas.

Strangely enough, they got real quiet when we finally brought about free elections in Nicaragua and the Sandinistas were voted out. The troubles in El Sal ended about a week after that election, as well. Interesting.

Anyway, enough old stories. Any bets on how long any case on Peta stays open, once a Congress critter hears about it? Even if they were caught helping an ELF member rape a nun at noon in a town square?? Anyone?? Bueller??

PETA is strictly for persons who brains are the size of walnuts and hollywood full of them i mean they get so rediclous and PAMELA ANDERSON must be the stupidist of them all she dose stupid ads for PETA becuase she is absolutly braindead i mean ADOLPH HITLER was a VAGETARIAN and look what he did to the jews becuase the nazis objected to the koshire slughter method the jews used and that CHARLES MANSON was a big time animal lover and that LINNET SQUEAKY FROME when the police searched her apartment after her attempt on GERALD FORD they found a list of potential murder victims and amoung them was a big time hunter RUSS CARMAN who authred a book THE ILLUSION OF ANIMAL RIGHTS i mean PETA funds extremists and its time for PETA to face charges under RICO laws and antiterrorist laws

PETA already has some suckers giving them money and they can always count on the idiots in hollywood to do ads and propeganda for them i mean ALEC BALDWIN and PAMELA ANDERSON have done spot for PETA they even go around wearing rediclous costumes protesting and setting up in front of schools handing out their veggie crap and PETA has funded terrorist and have hired a convicted terrorist to do propeganda for them its past time to put this rabid animal down for good and have its leaders and founders indited uner RICO Laws

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
