I'd like to invite you to donate to Project VALOUR-IT, featured in Day By Day, which purchases voice-activated laptops to help troops maimed by IEDs communicate with their families during the first, difficult days of healing. The ability to communicate with family -- who may be an ocean away -- is a great boon to these wounded warriors.
At the First MilBlogs Conference last year, I met Chuck Z, who originated the project. He was wounded in just such a manner, and displayed a courage and strength of spirit that I find difficult to convey. My admiration for the man encourages me to support his effort however I can.
To help speed donations, there's a friendly competition between the services. As always, I'm a member of the Marine Corps team -- Armed Liberal has invited me to put up a link to that team here.
Please join us.
