Real Men Wear Pantyhose!

by Trent Telenko at June 4, 2003 12:48 PM

This was too much fun not to share. It looks like Klinger of M.A.S.H. fame was only 50 years early...

Women's panty liners an absorbent patch with an adhesive back are perfect for mopping a sweat-basted brow that bakes under a helmet.

"They'll put them in the front of their hats and helmets as a sweat band," Burt said while driving a Humvee with a blue plastic box of Softs baby wipes next to her seat. Otherwise, the hat band gets sweaty and dirty. Next thing you know, there's a stripe of pimples across your forehead.

"You can break out real bad," she said, yanking off her floppy cap and showing the grimy hat band.

For those long marches, pantyhose are just the thing to replace the chafing of socks and boots with the swish of nylon. You don't wear the whole thing, just the part below the knees, Karm said while breakfasting on a tray of waffles with blueberry compote.

I can just see the commercials:

WAR IS HELL! And chasing down Islamofascists in the desert is hard work, but Cottonell baby wipes make it bearable!

I wonder what lady bloggers like Asparagirl, the Bitchgirls, and Dawn Olsen are going to make of this one?

It's going to be fun to watch.

This isn't the first story I've seen on these lines -- one had a soldier saying that if you wanted to send anything to support the troops, send baby wipes.

Rather ironic in light of the childish jeering that Charles Johnson & Co. engaged in regarding their presence in Arafat's briefing rooms (especially after the AC was likely dead for good). They particularly seemed to link it, for no obvious reason, to Arab toilet facilities and the eating hand / wiping hand business.

I mean, it's the Middle East. It's hot.

The only thing I don't get is why nobody in the Middle East is enterprising enough to sell them with more suitable packaging. (But maybe that strays into the whole Arab development problem ....)

OK, anonymity helps here, but I have to admit to wearing pantyhose only, and that's ONLY.... for skiing. For that, they are the best. They weigh, what, a tenth of an ounce, they are completely skin-tight, they keep heat in, keep moisture out, there's no way to tell you're wearing 'em. All in all, they are perfect for that purpose.

Then, of course, there's the lingerie for bowling.... Oh.... what a giveaway.... did I say that out loud.....?

Given that the URL doesn't work and the comment is on topic in a bent sort of way, I think I'm going to leave this one up just for the amusement value.

I love wearing pantyhose. I am married and not gay or bi. I just like wearing them. They feel great on and I really do not see why women should have all the nice clothes to wear. Men's clothes are limited. We should have more options and more nice silky things to wear.

Winds of change, indeed.

I love wearing silky pantyhose too. My wife doesn't mind at all. Why should men not have the fashion freedom that women enjoy. I don't go around and announce to the world that I wear pantyhose, but if someone asks I don't lie about it. I wish more men would "come out of the closet" and then maybe one of the large hosiery companies would finally start making styles and sizes that were for men. Everybody go out and enjoy your pantyhose. Take care. Happy hosing!!!

Panty hose! I love Pantyhose because they keep me warm and happy, I wished i could find full bodystockings, I am a hunter, fisherman, skier, I love the out doors at all times, when I put on a pair of pantyhose. When i am deep in the woods, I usuly carry a back pack in summer then I take off my jeans and walk and hike in the mountians when no one is arround! God bless freedom! In winter months I walk arround in my apartment in pantyhose and nothing else on thinking what freedon I have, If I had a home of my own and out in the woods away from other houses that I would love to invite any one at my home with only pantyhose on!Some times I would just love to make a huge wall of art of pantyhose! That is my wildest dream........To bad if a woman had an opend mind like I do we would be verry happy for ever!

#9 from RIck at 9:04 pm on Jul 12, 2004

I like the way they look on women and like the way they feel on me! They keep me warm in the winter and are a LOT less bulky tham longjohns. And yes, they're great if you spend the whole day on your feet.

There are plenty of hosiery manufacturers (Comcilon, Activskin, etc) that make pantyhose for men. But first and foremost, if these manufacturers want more men to wear them in the mainstream, they ought to be called "legwar". I think that the name alone is why most men are completely turned off to the concept.

I would like to hear from straight men who find wearing pantyhose an absolute turn on. I guess I am old fashioned..but I can't help feeling there is something gay or bi about that. My boyfriend has a pantyhose fetish and I am having trouble understanding. I need to know that you can be hetrosexual and still want to wear stockings. If anyone knows any internet sites that would help me understand
Thanks

for Dee:
I am a straight male who is 25, i love pantyhose and find them an absolute turn on, both on me and on girls I've dated. The hard part is associating socially assigned clothing to sexual orientation and how not to fall into that trap.

for one thing, it's not normal, just accept that, if it were then all the male population would be free and open about wearing pantyhose. But just because it isn't normal don't jump to a value association (good/bad), it's just a different type of behavior and should only be judged based off of you how you or your partner feels about it and the limitations/freedoms it puts on your relationship.

As far as the web is concerned, most sites that list pantyhose for men are gay oriented or just flat out lame. I keep searching for socially relavant websites and articles. There was an article published about 2 years ago in the Wall Street Journal titled "Kingsize, not Queensize" that talked all about this. Good luck on your search and I will extend to you an offer I have never given anyone, email me directly if you would like to shoot me more questions and I can reply with more indepth answers. brian_turley@hotmail.com

I am a straight male who loves to wear sheer nude 100% nylon pantyhose with shorts, open-toed sandals, and no underwear out in public. This is my normal attire everyday. I particularly love to walk around outdoors outside my residence at night wearing only a pair of sheer nude 100% nylon pantyhose with no underwear and open-toed sandals and nothing else especially on cool nights with a slight breeze. I absolutely love the feeling of a slight breeze on my pantyhosed-covered legs and penis. I would love to be seen by any good-looking women when I am wearing only a pair of sheer nude 100% nylon pantyhose. I want them to see my beautiful pantyhosed-covered legs and penis. Only real men wear pantyhose, right ladies?

You know, there's a part of me that wants to delete some of the above comments as off-topic. But they aren't trying to sell anything, they come from legitimate personal experience, and they amuse me. So, they stay.

But I am closing this thread - I think it has reached the end of its lifespan.

Those who want the personal testimonials now have enough to know that hey, you're not alone. And they make great sweatbands, too....

In the words of Christopher Luebcke

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.

Finally, note that a constant onslaught of Trackback spams from auto-generated blogspot blogs has forced Winds to ban the blogspot.com domain from use in comments or trackbacks. If you host on blogspot, consider moving; otherwise, the complaints need to be directed at Google not us.

This thread is closed to new comments.
