Meet Cindy Sheehan, exhibit A for those last bits and a more than slightly pathetic spectacle. A good reminder that I'm moving to the Land of the OJ Trial and the Home of the National Enquirer, as well as the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.
- Over at The Moderate Voice, Joe Gandelman takes a look at the political angles.
- Danmanly writes in from Iraq, with links to Blackfive's excellent post and the answer to Ms. Sheehan's question from the folks at Iraq the Model. Mohammed's answer is about values she doesn't believe in, and the truth is, Ms. Sheehan doesn't give a damn about their suffering anyway. But it's still the answer.
- Over at RedState.org, one of their writers has received a flood of calls, emails, and death threats to his home (read this!) for his criticism of Ms. Sheehan, thanks to a lefty blog commenter who published his contact info. Josh Trevino sums it all up in The Aggreivment of the Annointed, while Nick Danger wonders about the big shiny object being dangled in front of the public and asks what it's meant to distract people from.
- The Mudville Gazette has a post capturing Milblogger responses.

We are knee deep in the fever swamp here, folks. This is not healthy. When Wonkette is one of the few people keeping to the high road, something is very very amiss.
Bush just needed to give one speech and keep reiterating "you know, when I met with Cindy..."
"...back when I met with Mrs. Sheehan..."
"...when Cindy Sheehan and I met face to face..."
"...and when I saw Cindy Sheehan...."
"...and Cindy Sheehan told me..."
Until it's just absurd for her or her left-leaning "mainstream" media to keep asking for another meeting.
The left love this woman because she is a Mom. It certainly is a better face to have on the news than Comrade Moore. So it's a perfect arrangement. But what the Messed Media won't tell you is what you will find in the article from the American Spectator:

Can you say uh-oh?
David Duke has endorsed Cindy Sheehan here
Which should send shivers through the Democratic Party. What do Code Pink, ANSWER, Moveon, Kos, and David Duke all have in common?
Cindy Sheehan.
Hint to Dems: when "Mother Sheehan" is endorsed by America's least favorite Nazi, it's time to Moveon.org
Maybe David Duke will move back to the Democratic Party.
Thanks for the link Jim; I wondered what happened to that whacko after I moved from Louisiana.
"Vote for the crook, its important."
"Which should send shivers through the Democratic Party. What do Code Pink, ANSWER, Moveon, Kos, and David Duke all have in common?"
They're all ABB (Anybody But Bush) rather than actually for something.
Not to quibble though but I believe that Duke was a former Klansman rather than a Nazi.
I'm a little hazy on this, so could some one refresh my memory?
The difference between the Klan an the Nazis is:
The Klan hates blacks and Jews.
The Nazis hate Jews and blacks.
Did I get it right?
