Since Joe Katzman stepped back a bit from Winds of Change, there have been fewer spiritual posts, especially Good News Saturdays. I try not to post on Shabbat, so I forget about this series until it's not Saturday any more. But I can offer a series of links for Rosh Hashanah, which begins this evening:
During the past month of Ellul we have been preparing for the intense self-reflection of the Yamim Noraim, the Days of Awe, and I posted something relevant for each day of Ellul. They are all collected here.
One of the emblematic rituals of Rosh Hashanah, rich with symbolic associations, is the blowing of the shofar.
On the second day of Rosh Hashanah we read the Binding of Isaac, a complex and disturbing story with many connections to the holy day when it is read.
I'll post a few more links before Yom Kippur.

For an interesting Christian perspective on Isaac and Abraham, Søren Kierkegaard's Fear and Trembling (the Prelude and the Panegyric on Abraham).
I used to go broke buying books that are now online freebies.
Glen, that's a white supremacist site. Not cool. Although I've got to admit they have a decent library up, if you subtract out Hitler, The Protocols..., etc. But still, not cool.
Jeez, you're right. I didn't know those people could even read. Here's Fear and Trembling at religion-online.
