Vote Pat Tillman for SI Sportsman of the Year

| 5 Comments | 1 TrackBack

Sports Illustrated is conducting it's annual fan poll for Sportsman of the Year. This year there was indeed one athlete who stood out. Blackfive explains why you need to head over and vote for Pat Tillman, who is currently only in third place.

Winds has covered Ranger Tillman, who walked away from a multi-million dollar NFL contract to serve his country and was killed in Afghanistan earlier this year. He needs to win one last time - and you can help. Please do.

Excerpt: Vote for Pat Tillman. In my usual rant about inane choices, why did they include the USA Softball team? Or the Detroit Pistons? Via Winds of Change....

A vote for Tillman is in-effect two birds/one stone. One, you get to take a whack at PC culture. Two, you get to take a whack at the obnoxiously image-obsesses NFL.

Voted!

Pat Tillman's in a league of his own. Thanks for facilitating!

I reserve the right to revise and expand my remarks once I return to Sozadee CA

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
