Not hardly. My point was simply that the fermenters of ethnic hatred would like nothing more than to have this framed as an “Arab versus Jew” issue and that by designating the apologists for this as “pro-Arab,” the WUJS is playing into their hands.

IMO it would be better not to allow the other side to define the battle as simply being along ethnic/racial lines but rather they need to define it in terms of values – freedom versus tyranny, democracy versus dictatorships, tolerance versus hatred, a culture of life versus a culture of death, etc.

My hope is that groups like the WUJS can help to show through humor and editorial cartoons exactly what values are being promoted by the two sides in this struggle. Having looked at the examples they’ve already provided, that seems to be the general direction they’re going and I applaud their effort.

It's not a matter of political correctness, it's a matter of accuracy. For one thing, WUJS was inspired by the Iranian contest, and Iranians are not Arabs.

For the main issue, there is nothing wrong with "Arabs". There are Arabs fighing in the IDF (while you are commenting anonymously on a blog), there are Arabs trying to develop peaceful democracy in Iraq and Lebanon, there are Arabs quitely going about their daily business in Canada.
