Thank god they've finally done this.

It is sad that something that should be a minimum level of decorum actually makes us happy. But I'll take it.

Why did it take them until last night to add the Coast Guard? Does anyone have the inside scoop?

Odds are they just didnt think of it. From their past actions it seems they are not real knowlegeable of the military. They seem to be improving so for the time being I'll give them a Bravo Zulu for that.

That is what I thought as well, but I guess we will never know for sure unless one of them tells us.

That's as transparent a display of partisanship as I've ever seen. I wonder if they'll bother explaining themselves when they stop acknowledging Veterans' Day the next time a Republican wins a presidential election.

Do you know why we got clobbered in the election? The above is a perfect example. People are sick and tired of being told to think the worst of each other.

The most visited page on the internet honoured our veterans. that makes me feel wonderful. Your comments make me ill.

Give up the Rovian nonsense. It doesn't help anyone, especially the Republican Party. The sooner you get that the better off we will be.

Hey Google, welcome to the party. Better late than never. May I pencil you in for Memorial Day as well?

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
