Zainab al Suwaij fled Iraq in 1991, and is now Executive Director of the American Islamic Congress, an organization of classically liberal American Muslims dedicated to bridging the gap between Islam and the American way.
This Tuesday, Ms. al Suwaij spoke before the Republican National Convention. Redstate.org has an interesting follow-up interview.
