I wish there was a cable news channel devoted to mocking the news interspersed with real info. The Daily Show writ large and they could film Iowahawk's article as a skit. Hell, they could hire him.

This is too funny for words.

The feed back I'm receiving from my friends on both sides of the aisle are this is hilarious. the liberals swear it is Jon Stewart and are complaining the r/c may have found a new weapon in the war of ideas. they cna't stop laughing and are complaining about how much it hurts.

Back to civilness and short term gain. I don't know if you read non centrists and left blogs but take a look at Talking point memo for today the 24th of Feb. It references an article in the new donkey about redistricting between census' that is being discussed in Georgia. How this furthers discussion is beyond me.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Instead of blaming society, moms today tend to blame themselves. They say they've chosen poorly. And so they take on the Herculean task of being absolutely everything to their children, simply because no one else is doing anything at all to help them. Because if they don't perform magical acts of perfect Mommy ministrations, their kids might fall through the cracks and end up as losers in our hard-driving winner-take-all society.""

The unfortunate part throughout the article "Mommy Madness" by Judith Garner is she blames society for all the wrong reasons. She's let the pressures of peer approval ruin her life. Instead of blaming that which caused it she blames society for not affording her the capabilities of relieving it.

I couldn't help but think throughout the entire article - welcome to the world of the work force. It's shame when you have to work for a living and work gets in the way of living.

Here are some quick tips for adding simple Textile formatting to your comments, though you can also use proper HTML tags:

*This* puts text in bold.

_This_ puts text in italics.

bq. This "bq." at the beginning of a paragraph, flush with the left hand side and with a space after it, is the code to indent one paragraph of text as a block quote.

To add a live URL, "Text to display":http://windsofchange.net/ (no spaces between) will show up as Text to display. Always use this for links - otherwise you will screw up the columns on our main blog page.
